Average home sales prices for Rockingham & Strafford counties also declined from their all-time high in June falling slightly from $347,816 to $340,079. Average sales prices are still 9.5% higher than July of 2016. As inventory in the region remains low, average sales prices will continue to hover in the mid-300’s range.
After the record month in June home sales in Rockingham & Strafford counties fell 15% in July coming in at 734 which is also 4% lower year over year. We are currently well ahead of the sales pace set in 2016 with year to date sales totaling 3,819 compared to 3,385 at the same point in 2016. Inventory continues to lag behind (2.9 months’ supply) even with the increase in active listings which jumped 5% month over month.
