Stratham, NH combines small town charm with convenient proximity to vibrant downtown Exeter, historic downtown Portsmouth, and all of the amenities that the Seacoast has to offer. Commuting is a breeze with in-town Route 101 access connecting to Interstate 95. Stratham is part of the sought-after SAU 16 and provides an array of recreational opportunities in every season including walking, biking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing trails.
This delicious bakery was established back in 1988 and it’s no wonder they are still around. When you walk in you will immediately be greeted with friendly customer service and a willingness to help. With food this good it is hard to make a recommendation on what to try (seriously, try everything). For breakfast we recommend the quiche (our favorite is the broccoli cheddar version) or the fresh blueberry muffins. For lunch, locals recommend the “American Chicken Salad” sandwich paired with the Famous Seafood Chowder (only available on Thursdays and Fridays). There is an abundance of sweet treats to try including a plethora of cookie options, macaroons, cakes, and cupcakes, but the chocolate éclair is always our go to.
Stratham Hill Park is like a national treasure to residents, there is so much to do there! Seasonally, Stratham Hill Park is home to many events like the Stratham Fair (53 years running), local shows and concerts, resident events, group gatherings, and more. This park features baseball fields, a playground, picnic tables and pavilions for eating, fields to play, walking trails, and a small hike. This park is well maintained and well utilized by residents near by for a family picnic, evening stroll, or to bring their four-legged friends on a leashed walk. You can reserve a pavilion for your next gathering here.
Stratham is also a great spot to be pampered. The Wingate Salon and Spa is a local favorite for relaxation and rejuvenation. Make sure to call ahead, they book up fast!
