The Gove Group Supports AIR (Arts in Reach)

The Gove Group was proud and happy to support the Arts in Reach (AIR) program as a donor for 2022. Keep reading to learn more about what they do:

Arts in Reach is an innovative program that empowers teens by mentoring them and providing them with an opportunity to express themselves through their art. The AIR program is founded upon the value that underserved teenage girls and gender expansive youth can express themselves for who they are, building confidence in the next generation. They empower teens and build their confidence through these five goals:

1. Develop new art skills and ways to be creative. AIR explores all art forms, such as performing, visual, and literary.
2. Build self-confidence and voice to manage personal challenges. AIR is all for self-expression and pushing oneself to instill resiliency and hope.
3. Build healthy relationships within an inclusive community. AIR creates a community where you and everyone else wants to support one another. 
4. Develop essential skills for future success. With mentoring and team building activities, teens improve skills and aspirations, preparing them for the real world.
5. Become more culturally and civically engaged. AIR works with professional artists and local venues to broaden the teens' horizons, pushing them to set future goals.

AIR was founded to support and contribute to the Greater Seacoast community. They guide teens to develop the ability to set goals, to increase their skills within the arts, to push themselves to be more, and to build strong and healthy relationships while gaining knowledge and developing resilience skills. They learn to express themselves, helping them understand that they should feel wanted, because they are.
