July in New Hampshire saw an increase in residential home sales for the first time after five consecutive months of declining sales. July 2020 had a 6.4% increase compared to sales in July 2019. With 2,012 sales, July 2020 saw the most residential sales for the month in New Hampshire’s recorded history.
In addition, the median sales price was up 13.3% to $340,000 for a single family home in New Hampshire, and an even higher 17.8% increase to $245,000 for condo properties. With mortgage rates at near record lows, high buyer activity will likely continue for the months to come.
Nationally, July 2020 was also a great month for the residential housing market, as it performed much better than the prior year and multiple offers have become common in the current market.
